The Return of the Drive-in Movie
The past two summers we have seen the resurgence of the drive-in movie.
They date back more than 100 years, but are perhaps most fondly associated with the 1950's and 1960's - the peak of their popularity.
Back then, they were affectionately dubbed "Passion Pits". A popular date night idea and perhaps a way to show off your cool convertible or souped-up hot rod that didn't involve drag racing for pinks.
People really seem to dig this nostalgic blast from the past. It's a pretty nifty way to catch a flick and the fact that it's a pandemic-friendly activity is the bee's knees!
So, what are you waiting for?! Floor it to these drive-in options in the Calgary area this summer and you'll be havin' a gas in no time!
